Dear Claire and Michelle, I apologize for the delay, but I’ve been putting off signing your guestbook until I had something meaningful to say.
I mentioned your wedding to a friend who brought up the topic of same-sex marriages. We were overheard by someone who said, “Hurrah! I don’t know you or your friends, but you should congratulate them for me anyway.”
Congratulations. So many, many people wish you well.
