Or: Man, that church is hard to get to by public transit.

I know that this is unlikely to be a problem for many people, but it is very difficult to get to UUCB by bus on a weekend — it’s easy to make it to the El Cerrito Plaza BART station two miles away, but that last two miles is a doozy. If you’re going to the church from points south, you will likely go by El Cerrito Plaza BART on your way up the hill; if you’re willing to pick up a carpooler as you do that, please comment here. Please also comment here if you need help with that last two miles.

If we can’t work out carpooling, this is the public transit route:

Take BART to the Downtown Berkeley station. Walk a block north to the #7-Arlington bus stop. The ride takes about forty minutes from downtown Berkeley (watch out – the bus schedule consistently underestimates this by ten minutes) and the bus comes only once an hour; see schedules at Bay Area transit info. Get off at the intersection of Arlington and Moeser, and walk the last three blocks uphill.
